Why proper gaskets are essential

A hookah without proper gaskets simply won’t work. Whether it’s the bowl connection, base, hose port or valve – a gasket is always needed to keep the setup airtight. Any air leak affects the draw and reduces the overall smoking experience.

Most people only realize how important gaskets are when they hear a hissing sound or get almost no smoke at all. In many cases, checking or replacing a gasket solves the problem immediately.

Which gasket do you need?

There are different types of gaskets depending on your hookah setup. Bowl gaskets, base gaskets, hose gaskets and valve gaskets all serve specific purposes. Most are made from silicone and last a long time, but they can wear out, slip or simply not fit perfectly.
